We work for the future today. High performance metals will continue to play an important role in the third millennium,  our engineers work to ensure this by developing completely new materials and optimise those which are already on the market.  Cleaner,  harder, tougher, stronger materials. Some of these  are currently being tested in our laboratories; or are already available to you. Research and Development is part of the Böhler philosophy and makes up a strategic part of our business. The emphasis lies on product and process development.

   

Intensive cooperation with international universities and  research institutes ensures a continuous transfer of know-how which is reflected in the effectivness of our new products. More than 300 valid patents worldwide prove the expertise of our research and development departments.
